Sample cost
Creator sample ROI guide
Free samples are not free. They are a customer acquisition cost. The simplest planning method is to divide the total sample batch cost by the number of orders you expect from that batch.
Example
If you send 20 samples and each sample costs $12 landed and shipped, the batch costs $240. If the campaign produces 120 orders, the sample allocation is $2 per order. If it produces 40 orders, the sample allocation is $6 per order.
Use conservative assumptions
Early creator campaigns usually include experiments. Track accepted samples, posted videos, actual views, conversion rate, returned products, and repeat creators. Over time, your sample cost per converted order should become a real metric rather than a guess.
